We are fast approaching December 2024. The election is behind us and now we are looking forward to the holidays. If you haven’t been attending our meeting in person at the West Regional Library or on Zoom you have missed out on some great learning opportunities and our first Writer’s Retreat Weekend in September. 2025 is shaping up to be even better. So, if you haven’t been participating much in 2024 you just might want to renew your membership for 2025 because it is going to be epic. Keep checking the website over the next two or three weeks as our webmistress will be adding the workshops for you to plan ahead.
Writers Workshop Wrap Up
In November, we had Character Building with Barbara Evers which was quite informative and fun as well after the usual technical difficulties she was extremely patience with our group meeting running a little long and was a real trouper. All members will have access to the replay of the workshop on our FCRW Members Only website for the coming months.
Remember all the writing workshops are only $10 on Zoom for non-members Now, that is cheap at twice the price. Members, of course, can bring a guest in person at the library. All proceeds collected goes towards paying for our Zoom service and other items we provide to our members.
In December we welcome Author Donna Gray-Banks who is the Founder and Director of the F.R.E.S.H. Book Festival (Fiction, Romance, Erotica, Spiritual and Health), one of the largest book festivals for minority and indie self-published authors in Florida. Her workshops are as follows:
WORKSHOP ONE: “Just when you think you’ve said enough, you might need more.”
WORKSHOP TWO: “Building Tension in a Love Scene” – there will be classwork so bring you pens and papers.
