She lives in sunny Florida and considers herself a southerner because she has lived here for most of her life. Being born in a landlocked state, she loves being near the ocean. She can not remember a time when books weren’t a part of her life. From the beginning, her mother would take her and her brother to the library and let them check out as many books as their arms could hold. She remembers the smell of the library and the thrill of venturing into the stacks to discover the new worlds she had found in books.

Stories abound in her head, usually just before she drops off to sleep. She comes from a long line of story-tellers and hopes she can honor them with her stories. As she told someone once, life isn’t about the destination. We all get there, sooner or later. Life is about the journey.
