Miriam Wood is an author of romance and women's fiction with a passion for storytelling that spans multiple genres. Writing previously under the pseudonym Marianne LaCroix, she built an early foundation in fiction before life took her in a new direction — and now she's back at the keyboard with fresh ambition and a growing list of projects.

By day, Miriam works as a Licensed Practical Nurse at an Urgent Care clinic, bringing the same dedication to her patients that she brings to her characters. Her medical background has inspired her to pursue a submission to Harlequin's Medical romance line, while she simultaneously develops a cozy mystery series, a historical detective series, and historical women's fiction.

A proud member of First Coast Romance Writers, the Women's Fiction Writers Association, and Florida Gulf Coast Sisters in Crime, Miriam is deeply rooted in the writing community. When she's not crafting stories, she enjoys watercolor painting, knitting, reading, and gaming. She shares her home with her beloved dachshund, Mocha.
