Growing up in a small Tennessee town, where everyone knew everyone and most people could claim some kinship if you went back far enough, Barbara developed a strong connection to place and to those who came before her. Her mother told them family stories and local tales she had heard over the years. A simple Sunday drive became a running dialog with a story for every point along the way. This oral history combined with a small-town, Southern upbringing molded her sense of history and fed her imagination. Reading novels and watching old movies provided an escape from her busy life.

After compiling the genealogical information gathered by her mother and writing down many of those family stories to share with the next generation, She decided to try putting the stories in her head down on paper. Her own fictional stories and characters emerged. And, although she loved all historical time periods, the Second World War held her attention longer than any other and connected her to her family’s stories and her small hometown’s stories. Barbara's historical fiction novels focus on love stories in the World War II era.

Charlee is a long time fan of love, adventure, and happily-ever-after. She grew up in Florida where a huge fallen oak tree in the swampy woods near her home served as her very own Star Ship Enterprise. Curtis began his interest in reading as a child, thanks to his mother who read to him, and in 7th grade he was honored by his school as the recipient of the Dolfinger-McMahon Book Award. Growing up, Erika Kilmer Freidly never enjoyed reading, but the stories in her imagination lulled her to sleep. When she wasn’t told what to read, her interest in books kindled. Lusine (Loretta) Torossian fell in love with storytelling in first grade when she wrote her first story. It was a five-page saga written entirely in Armenian about a pelican saving her babies from a burning tree. She and her family moved to the United States when she was nine, but the love she felt for words as a child stayed with her even as English became her primary language. Her enjoyment of writing stems from her early years in Armenia where her teachers and grandmother read her fairy tales and encouraged her to create her own fanciful stories and paintings. A seasoned puppeteer and dramatic storyteller, Sara appreciates both spoken and written narratives. She prefers reading Christian Historical Romance, but she enjoys a variety of genres. Shayne Huxtable (Medieval Romance Author) is a Kiwi, born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. She grew up obsessed with horses. Every year she'd ask Santa to bring her a pony. He never did. So around eleven she marched up the road to a house straddling two paddocks and asked the owner of a huge bay gelding if he’d allow her to exercise his horse. He looked her over, asked if she knew anything about horses to which she replied, “Yes lots.” Honestly, how hard could riding a horse be?, she pondered. ‘Henry’ bucked her off as many times as she climbed on his back, but when he saw her tramp across his paddocks in her gumboots, rain or shine, he trotted to her like he was her best friend. V. L. CZERNY is a writer of fiction and poetry, scholar, storyteller, professor of English, and an avid reader and interpreter of classical children’s stories and fairy tales. She has recently written novellas and short stories for both adults and children with fictional plots placed in colonial America and in biblical settings. She is working on a romantic short story for an upcoming First Coast Romance Writers’ anthology, as well as on a novel for children and young adults that relates ten-year-old Penny’s adventure as she is recruited to maneuver into the dark dominion of the trees with the assistance of a fox, burrowing owl, dragonfly, alligator, bear, her own cat, and other animals on a heroine’s journey to upset the applecart in a restrictive world.

Val was recognized by John Hamant, the Director of the “Legends” storytelling program at Colonial Williamsburg, as the best female creative writer/embellisher and storyteller, has performed at local venues, libraries and schools, has traveled to Paris to present her interpretations about Mary Poppins at the conference of “Children’s Literature in the Interwar Period” at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, and has presented papers at conferences throughout America. Vanessa Victoria Kilmer told her first story to an angel who visited her when she was locked in a dark, medieval attic at the age of four. She grew up surrounded by fortified castles, primal salt mines, and the drama of ancient places. Her fiction teems with murder, magic, and madness. She explores the abuse inflicted by those closest to us and the various ways people deal with the damage. Between writing novels, she blogs, paints, and takes pictures with her white camera named Traitor and embroiders tapestries

Vickey Wollan has written for business publications, but is excited to embark on her long-awaited romance writing journey. Having a good run in the corporate world prepared her to become an entrepreneur in creativity and relaxation. Her stories are designed to transport readers to a less stressful portion of their day and leave them with a feeling of awe. She has published eight stories so far and is working on more.

Originally from Ohio, she moved to Florida in the late Eighties. Central Florida is sometimes called Hollywood East where the waves and palm trees are amazing. But, there’s something about a white Christmas that fills her heart with joy. The use of imagination surrounds her and she will draw from it as her characters come to life in plots that will keep readers guessing, but leave them with a happily ever after.
