Tessa Lyons was raised on fairy tales, princesses, and football. She creates stories about contemporary characters in real situations who tackle life’s complications and discover that love really can conquer all. Tessa began her career as a lawyer, writing long and dull non-fiction. She enjoys translating some of her own romantic pitfalls into entirely fictional stories.

Tessa was born and raised in the Mid-Atlantic area. Her undergraduate degree is from University of Maryland, her MBA from Loyola University of Maryland and her law degree from University of Baltimore. She also lived for a period in the Midwest. Now an empty nester, she and her husband spend most of their time in Florida. She usually can be found on the beach, preferably with a good book and chilled prosecco.
